Murukali Revolution, By staying up-to-date with technology.

Murukali revolution, which begin in 2015 as an online grocery store, we have made significant strides in transforming the shopping experience for our  customers in Kigali city and beyond. Initially, Murukali  operated as a web-based service catering exclusively to Kigali residents, offering next-day delivery and accepting cash or mobile money (Momo) payments due to the absence of online payment services.

In 2016, We expanded our services to include same-day deliveries, allowing customers to receive their orders more quickly and efficiently. The following year, in 2017, the company integrated an online payment system, providing customers with a convenient and secure way to make transactions.

Recognizing the potential to serve customers outside of the city, We expanded our delivery network in 2018 to include upcountry areas, ensuring that people in rural regions could also benefit from the convenience of online shopping.

In 2019, We made significant improvements to our website, enhancing the user interface and overall shopping experience. These enhancements aimed to provide customers with a seamless and user-friendly platform for browsing and purchasing products.

Keeping up with the ever-evolving technological landscape, We launched our own mobile application in 2020. The app allowed customers to access the online store directly from their smartphones, making online shopping even more accessible and convenient.

Moreover, in the same year, We introduced a new feature by onboarding local businesses to list their products on the platform. This initiative not only expanded the range of available products but also supported local entrepreneurs by providing them with a broader customer base.

To further enhance our delivery services, We introduced express deliveries in 2020, enabling customers to receive their orders within a shorter time frame. This improvement aimed to meet the growing demands for faster turnaround times in the e-commerce industry.

In a significant move towards global expansion, Murukali began worldwide shipping in 2021. This development opened up opportunities for international customers to purchase Rwandan products and have them delivered to their doorsteps, thereby promoting Rwandan goods on a global scale.

Throughout our evolution,  Murukali has continuously embraced trending technologies to enhance our services and remain at the forefront of the ecommerce industry in Rwanda. By staying up-to-date with technological advancements and adapting to changing customer needs, We have revolutionized the way people shop for home basic goods, providing convenience, accessibility, and an extensive range of products to our customers.
