Master Kong (Kang Shi Fu) Spicy Beef Flavor Instant Noodles
This is a packet of Master Kong (Kang Shi Fu) Spicy Beef Flavor Instant Noodles, one of the most iconic and popular instant noodle varieties in China. The bright orange packaging features the brand's cheerful chef mascot in the upper left corner and a large bowl of deep red, savory beef soup with green garnishes on the front. The bold green and white Chinese characters read "香辣牛肉面" (Xiānglà Niúròu Miàn), which translates to "Fragrant and Spicy Beef Noodles," and it is part of their "Classic" (经典) series. Inside, you will typically find a block of dried wheat noodles accompanied by a seasoning powder packet, a liquid paste packet containing beef fat and spices, and a small packet of dehydrated vegetables.
To prepare these, you simply place the noodles and seasonings in a bowl, add about 500ml of boiling water, and cover it for three to five minutes before stirring and serving.
What's the spice level like for you—are you a fan of a heavy kick, or do you usually add a little extra something to balance it out?
